A full floating canvas, hand-padded lapels, and a pattern drafted for one frame only. Cut in Paramus, finished by hand, kept on file for life.
The Garment
Built from the inside out.
A jacket is an argument between structure and softness. We settle it with a full floating canvas — horsehair and camel hair basted between cloth and lining rather than glued — so the chest moulds to you over the first season and never leaves.
Lapels are padded by hand with a curved stitch that gives them roll instead of a crease. Sleeves are set by hand, not machine, which is why the shoulder follows your arm rather than fighting it. Buttonholes are cut and sewn last, one at a time.
Roughly sixty hours of handwork per two-piece commission.

What is included in every commission
- Construction
- Full floating canvas, hand-padded lapel and chest, hand-set sleeves, hand-finished buttonholes and pick stitching.
- Cloth
- English and Italian mills — worsteds, flannels, fresco, hopsack, Super 130s and above, and house glen checks. Cashmere and vicuña by request.
- Fittings
- Consultation, basted fitting, forward fitting, and finish. Additional fittings at no charge until it is right.
- Pattern
- Drafted on paper, corrected across your fittings, and archived. Repeat orders begin from your corrected pattern.
- Lead time
- Eight to twelve weeks from first fitting. Rush commissions considered.
- Aftercare
- Pressing, re-fitting, and alterations for the life of the garment, without charge.

The Three-Piece
Matched or contrast waistcoat, cut high to keep the line clean when the jacket comes off.

Evening Dress
Midnight blue or black barathea, grosgrain or silk facings, self-covered buttons, no vent.
IV
Odd Jackets
Soft-shouldered, quarter-lined tweeds and hopsacks for the days that ask less of you.
